Manufacturing with focus on sustainability
Helwit nicotine pouches are manufactured in Gransholms Bruk outside Växjö, Småland in Sweden. There the team have been able to build the business from scratch and based their production on tough environmental requirements. Among other things, production gets its electricity supply from a hydropower plant located next door to the factory.
The packaging is also well thought out in terms of usability and environmental friendliness. The plastic in the can is made from tall oil which is an ISCC certified material, it is completely fossil free and reduces CO2 emissions from the can production by over 85%.
History of Helwit
Helwit is manufactured by Yoik AB in Gransholms Bruk in the heart of Sweden. The team behind Yoik established the company in 2018 and decided to create a nicotine pouch that can provide top-level flavour experiences. But it was not only flavour that was in focus, but also sustainability. The forward-thinking team wanted to make products with the lowest possible carbon footprint and minimal CO2 emissions.
In their quest for a sustainable product, the company chose to manufacture the cans using ISCC-certified tall oil - a material that is bio-based and fossil-free, and reduces CO2 emissions by 85% compared to equivalent plastic materials. In addition to eco-friendly packaging, their production is almost entirely self-sufficient thanks to a hydroelectric plant located right next to Helwit's main factory.
